November 2009 Courses

As we wind down for the year there are three final courses starting in November.

Bus trip to Pencarrow
- the Pencarrow Lighthouse is one of Wellington’s landmarks with a fascinating history. Join WEA on a trip to one of the region’s wildest and most beautiful places to enjoy views and wildlife. BYO lunch, walking shoes and wear suitable clothing.

“To the bitter end”. Bob Stott, journalist, editor and publisher, will explore the origin of this and many other sayings, clichés and catchwords that have helped to enrich the English language. Saturday 14th November 2-4pm at Paraparaumu Library.

On Sunday 15th November, a talk by Gael Ferguson, KCDC, will use issues about climate to examine decisions being made locally about the environment and how to deal with climate change.
This Environmental Ethics course is our final one for the year, and at the moment, numbers are light, so if you are thinking of attending, please enrol now rather than turn up on the day and find it has been cancelled because we didn't know you were coming.

Details on all courses can be found on our website.
Online enrolments are possible, with payment by direct debit (instructions sent with your enrolment acknowledgement), by post, or in person at the office.
Note that we do prefer enrolments and payment is made at least two days prior to a course in order to make decisions as to course viability.
